Upcoming meetings – next steps towards approval

In January, the volunteer-based HRM Heritage Advisory Committee approved the substantial alterations for both Cases 20218 and 2076. Approval by the Regional Council followed. Now the developers are finalizing their planning proposals.  Once received, HRM staff will review each proposal and write a staff recommendation report for Heritage Advisory Committee (HAC), Halifax and West Community Council (HWCC) and Regional Council’s consideration. The volunteer HRM Heritage Advisory Committee will meet sometime after March for a discussion on the height, massing and transition of the proposed developments as they relate to the heritage streetscape.

Please tell them to reject these proposals. There are better alternatives.
